If you have ever wondered why you were not selected to be interviewed for the federal job you wanted it may have had nothing to do with your qualifications.  It may have had a lot to do with the way you presented them in the opening steps of the job search process.   When the human resource people review the federal resumes and ksas they may have no idea what the job is like but they do know what they expect to see in writing by the applicant.  If you fail to put it in their format so they can easily understand it, you probably will not be considered.
