Line twist? What line twist? It’s a thing of the past with the Shimano Stella FD. Its propulsion line management system is probably the best in the market – as well, it should be with the price it commands. The Shimano Stella FD has a redesigned spool slip and an improved bail/line roller. It also has a long stroke spool shape which prevents line twisting during both casting and retrieval. I have nearly forgotten the problems associated with line twisting. I do remember though, that using my old fishing reel, I almost lost a fish I because the line jerked and twisted as I reeled it in. Now, with the Shimano Stella FD I don’t think I’ll ever lose a fish.
