Xenon headlight bulbs do not work the same way as the halogen headlights because the latter light function by heating up the halogen gas inside the bulb and this is done by passing electrical current through a metal filament. On the other hand, the Xenon headlight bulbs operate or work when the xenon gas is ignited by making use of high voltage spark. The xenon gas is activated when high voltage current is generated by the ballast unit. The xenon headlight bulbs do not make use of as much power as the halogen lights and they also provide brighter lightning.
